FootGolf in Mexico

FootGolf in Mexico has its origins in 2005 under the name of Fut-Golf. On September 9, 2009, Francisco Name officially registered the trademark with the IMPI (Mexican Institute of Intellectual Property).

In 2012, the Mexican FootGolf Federation (FMFG) was founded in the city of Monterrey, under the leadership of Francisco González, with the support of the United States FootGolf Federation. That same year, Mexico formed its first national team and participated in the First World FootGolf Championship held in Hungary, an event in which the International FootGolf Federation (FIFG) was founded. Since then, Mexico has been a founding country and has participated in all the world championships of the discipline.

Official Recognition

Currently, Mexico has approximately 280 golf courses, of which more than 50 have hosted official FootGolf tournaments, which represents about 20% of the country's courses.
